Biblical counseling Lesson 5

Four Soils Ministry is a Bible Based Ministry established for the purpose to equip workers in the area of preaching, teaching, discipleship and Biblical Counseling. We firmly believe that God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit uses His written Word to provide the solution to man's emotional and relational problems that were caused by Adam and Eve's sin in the garden of Eden. Read in Genesis chapter three the fear and guilt, plus the blaming, covering-up and excuses demonstrated by Adam and Eve immediately after their sin (disobedience). Any time we sin today we experience the same emotions and broken relations that were generated in the garden.

Four Soils Ministry provides the Biblical foundation for our Biblical Counseling students and we rely on organizations such as Biblical Counseling Center to supplement our instruction with specific Biblical counseling resources

Biblical Counseling Center

Biblical Counseling Center has always sought to communicate the gospel through their counseling. And since they believe they are faithfully restoring people to Christ (2 Cor 5:17-21) and to one another (Gal 6:2. Restoration with God and others require change.

What motivates the changes you make in your life? If you are offering counsel, how do you motivate your counselees to change? What is the central focus in your life and ministry to others that brings about lasting spiritual change?

Biblical Counseling Center believes that understanding God's deep love for His people is the primary understanding that should motivate believers. God's love is central to the gospel message. It gives us great hope and encourages us to move on to maturity in our Christian walk. Not until the sinner looks vertically and sees God's love correctly will the driving forces of the gospel bring changes into his life that glorifies the God who created him.
